The Journey

TEMPLE OF TIDE & TENDERNESS

THE MOON AS A WAY

Temple of Tide and Tenderness is a journey into the many dimensions of the Moon, through Vedic wisdom, astrology, embodiment, contemplation and direct experience.

THE SILVER LINE

The journey unfolds through six movements, while remaining responsive to the time we have together and the people who gather. Teaching is woven with contemplation, embodied practice, personal reflection and space for integration, allowing the Moon to be encountered not only as knowledge, but as a lived experience.

I

THE ORIGINS

Vedic Cosmology · Creation · Our Place in the Universe

Before we look at the Moon, we look at the universe that holds her. We begin with the Vedic vision of creation, entering a cosmos that is not empty or mechanical, but alive, intelligent and interconnected. Through ancient cosmology and stories from the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, we widen the lens beyond the personal and remember ourselves as part of something immeasurably larger.

BELONGING · CONNECTION · MEANING · SACREDNESS · REMEMBRANCE

II

THE 2 LUMINARIES

Chandra · Vedic Astrology · Sun & Moon · Shiva & Shakti

The Sun shines. The Moon receives and reflects. And between these two lights lives an ancient conversation about consciousness and mind, illumination and reflection, giving and receiving. Here we meet Chandra, the Moon of Vedic astrology, not simply as a celestial object, but through mythology, symbolism and relationship. We explore the stories surrounding the Moon, the relationship between Sun and Moon, and the dance of Shiva and Shakti as a doorway into understanding how we meet ourselves through another. A different way of seeing relationship.

III

THE MOON WITHIN

Mind · Emotions · Water · Prana · Feminine Cycles

Then the Moon comes closer. Into water. Into breath. Into the rhythms of the body. We explore the ancient relationship between Moon, water, prana and mind, not only as an idea to understand, but as something that can be felt. Through Swara Yoga, breath, contemplation and somatic movement, the body becomes part of the teaching. We begin to notice rhythm rather than impose it. A movement from knowing toward sensing. What happens when I listen to the body before asking the mind to explain?

EMOTIONAL AWARENESS · EMBODIMENT · INTUITION · CYCLICALITY · INNER LISTENING

IV

THE PATH OF THE GODDESS IN THE SKY

Tithis · Waxing & Waning · Nitya Devis · Divine Mother

The Moon does not simply become full and disappear again. Night by night, she changes. In the Vedic lunar calendar, these changes are measured through the Tithis: lunar days created through the relationship between Sun and Moon. Within Śrīvidyā traditions, this celestial movement opens another doorway: the fifteen Nitya Devis, the eternal lunar Goddesses. We meet them as different faces of Shakti, different qualities of the Moon, fullness, dissolution and renewal. The lunar month becomes a living mandala. The Moon is no longer simply full or new. Every night is part of the journey.

V

YOUR PERSONAL MOON

Birth Moon · Emotional Nature · Personal Nitya Devi · Yantra · Sound

And then the journey becomes personal. After meeting the Moon in cosmos, mythology, body and Goddess, we turn toward the Moon within your own life. Through your lunar birth information, reflection and contemplative practice, we explore your relationship with emotional nourishment, sensitivity, habit, memory and mind. You will also meet your personal Nitya Devi through symbol, Yantra, meditation and sound. Not as another label to collect. But as a relationship to begin.

VI

LIVING WITH THE MOON

New & Full Moon · Eclipses · Lunar Timing · Cyclical Living

Eventually, we leave the Temple. But we do not leave the Moon. In our final movement, we explore how lunar awareness can move beyond the workshop and into ordinary life. We look at the Full Moon and New Moon, eclipses and the dark lunar nodes, and the ways human beings have historically lived in relationship with lunar time, from agriculture and ritual to rest, regeneration and feminine cycles. And then we ask a simple question: What would it mean to live with the Moon again?

ALIGNMENT · INTENTION · REST & ACTION · RELEASE & RENEWAL · CONSCIOUS LIVING

WHAT THE JOURNEY LEAVES WITH YOU

More than knowledge about the Moon, the journey offers a deeper understanding of their own rhythms and inner landscape.

  • Self-understanding — emotional patterns, needs and personal Moon.
  • Embodied awareness — learning to listen to body, breath and intuition.
  • Cyclical wisdom — honouring times of action, rest, expansion and retreat.
  • Personal practices — lunar, contemplative and embodied tools to continue at home.
  • A renewed relationship with the Moon — as a guide to rhythm, receptivity and change.

Participants leave with something they can understand, feel and continue to live.

A JOURNEY THAT ADAPTS

Temple of Tide and Tenderness is designed to be flexible, allowing the experience to adapt to your space, your community and the time available.

Flexible formats

The Temple can unfold as a half-day or full-day immersion, a two-day journey, or as part of a longer retreat or private gathering.

Adapted to your group

The depth and emphasis of the teachings, practices, meditation and embodiment are shaped according to the number of participants, the available time and the nature of the gathering.

The six movements

The six movements remain the foundation. The journey retains its essential arc while allowing certain themes to be explored more deeply or gently condensed.

Personal preparation

Participants provide their birth date, birth time and place of birth in advance, allowing me to prepare their individual lunar information and personal Moon reading.

Individual materials

Each participant receives carefully prepared content connected to their own lunar landscape, bringing the universal teachings of the Moon into a more intimate and personal experience.

The intention

Not to fit every gathering into a fixed program, but to create the conditions for the teachings to be experienced, felt and integrated.
